The Variety Hourfrom Tacoma, WA announces the release of their 4th EP, Motivacancy on Swoon Records. Motivacancy offers swerving guitar anthems with swing-for-the-fences choruses bent through an alt-rock prism. Influences include the heady rock of Dinosaur Jr, shimmering-psych of Swervedriver, left-field pop of Teenage Fanclub and the arena-sized sass of Cheap Trick. Motivacancy follows 2014’s well-received Exploded View EP, who’s single Loser Elite earned TVH airplay as Loud and Local Band of the Week on KISW, Seattle’s top market rock station. TVH enjoyed rotation on KEXP and KUPS, were guests of The Spud Goodman Show and Grit Rock and were featured on national and international internet programs. TVH performed live with acts including Eric Blood, This Blinding Light, Season of Strangers, Motopony, Rose Windows, Trees and Timber, Jesus on the Moon, Umber Sleeping and many more.
